Challenges in Staying Relevant in the Market as Engagement Decreases

Virtual Dining Chicago launched during the pandemic to host virtual cooking events but engagement was low and the business lacked a clear user base. Their early product market fit was fading fast.

Transforming challenges into opportunities

The VDC team was in the midst of a major operational pivot. They were struggling to stay relevant as a new hospitality business in the middle of a pandemic. VDC recognized that Covid-19 was changing the fabric of their customer base and quickly chose to pivot their business model to survive as a beginning startup.
My research led to an exciting new opportunity for the company: to shift VDC from virtual events and food delivery to a lively hybrid marketplace and a welcoming community platform.

This change opened up a fantastic revenue stream for chefs and farmers and paved the way for Here Here Market.
