Local Austin startup PackDeck is a SAAS platform for customer relationship management for the industrial hemp industry, which is severely under served . The platform struggled with user engagement and feedback showed a need for increased functionality within the product. PackDeck requested a complete UX redesign and user-centered refocus with UX research and design methods to identify true user need and clear path forward.
The project stretched about one month beginning with intensive research. C-level professional users such as, business owners, sales executives as well as part-time employees were interviewed. Also, a far reaching survey was conducted to validate findings. The data was synthesized and followed up with stakeholders through collaborative UX brainstorm sessions to identify and prioritize problem solving features.
Research and product design culminated in an initial rapid prototype and submission for the 2021 TechStars Accelerator Competition deadline this October 2020.
